After a 3:0-lead until the 56th minute the Styrians lost 3:4 after Overtime and sliped down in the ranking to place four. In the Mozart City, where the 99ers could not score last season at all (0:5, 0:3), they won last time 670 days ago (16. November 2012). This year the new formed team from Todd Bjorkstrand plays his first road-game in Salzburg. The 99ers scored in ten Power Plays already four times, which means 50% of their scored goals so far. Quotes for the game: Daniel Ratushny, Headcoach EC Red Bull Salzburg: "I think Graz is a strong team and angry after their defeat against Linz. We expect a hungry team, which plays offensively with strong and technically good players. My team must be very concentrated in the defense and also has to look to score some goals!" Manuel Ganahl, Forward Moser Medical Graz99ers: "We must forget the last minutes against Linz quickly and learn from our mistakes. The Red Bulls are very strong at home and an aggressive team. But when we stay in our system and we stick on the requirements from our Head Coach, then we certainly can also take points from there!" Injury report: Salzburg still misses Andreas Kristler, 99ers are without Tomas Petruska. Thursday, 18.
