This coming Friday the Dornbirner Eishockey Club is going to host the Moser Medical Graz 99ers in its home arena Messestadion. Two days after the 1:7-loss in Villach the Bulldogs are willing to find their way back to winning, to make sure they stay connected with the play off rankings in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. The last encounter with the team from Styria turned out to be a waiting game. The first goal of the match - leading to the 2:0-win of the Moser Medical Graz 99ers - did not get scored until in the last period. The Bulldogs had won the first duel of the season 4:2. "We did play a good game in Graz. At home we defeated them", recalls Robert Lembacher the previous matches against Graz. For the upcoming home game the former Graz player, who loves to wear the Bulldogs jersey, is confident and sure of victory: "I am positive that we're gonna get our chances, and will be triumphant in the end." The 99ers have been playing under their new Finnish coach Petri Matikainen for seven games now, with great success. Solely SAPA Fehervar AV19 managed to beat Graz (penalty shootout) since. The 99ers took revenge for this slip-up in their latest game on Wednesday. The team of Manuel Ganahl and Daniel Woger, who are both from Vorarlberg, came off with a 6:1-victory. Still, DEC head coach Dave MacQueen believes in his team, rating the opponent as conquerable. "Graz plays a fast-paced game, and with Danny Sabourin (annot.: former Pittsburgh Penguins/NHL goalie) they've got a fantastic goalkeeper", the coach warns. "We gotta make lots of commotion in front of their goal, get the puck towards the net, and keep Sabourin busy", MacQueen demands of his team. The first face-off is going to take place Friday at 7:15 p.m. in the Messestadion. Friday, November 15, 2013; 7:15 p.m.: Dornbirner Eishockey Club – Moser Medical Graz 99ers Dornbirner Messestadion
