Finally Salzburg seems to get into shape. The Red Bulls beat Graz 5:0 on Tuesday and celebreated their third victory within a week.

Salzburg had a perfect start into the game, Mark Cullen scored the lead for the Red Bulls after 38 seconds. The hosts then dominated the game, Garrett Roe was stopped by goalie Danny Sabourin after a solo (8.), Graz on the other side only had some counter-chances, but Luka Gracnar was not to beat. Four minutes before the end Thomas Raffl extended the lead after a pass from Dave Meckler. The second goal was a wake-up-call for Graz, but Alexandre Picard and Olivier Latendresse missed good chances.

In the second period the Red Bulls started again with a fast goal from Andreas Kristler, who put the second rebound in. The 99ers still tried hart, but the guests had no luck with their offensive scenes, Manuel Ganahl and Dustin VanBallegooie missed other good opportunities. On the other side Cullen made the 4:0 for the hosts. Now 99ers Head Coach Mario Richer changes his goalie and brought Sebastian Stefaniszin. Salzburg took the 4:0-lead into the second break, because 99er Greg Day missed another good chance alone in front of Salzburg’s goalie Luka Gracnar and Doug Lynch and Konstantin Komarek could not take advantage of good chances on the other side. Also in the last period Salzburg had the game and their opponent under control and celebrated a 5:0-win after another goal from Daniel Welser. Luka Gracnar managed his first shut-out of the season.
